Hi There, I’m Deborah Jeffrey, the Cupcake Stylist.

Let’s face it. Unless you are a professional baker you don’t make cakes every day, so creating an awesome cake for your special celebration can be a challenge.

Relax, you’re in the right place. Whatever your party theme or color scheme, you can find made-to-order or request custom toppers that you simply place on your homemade, store-bought, or bakery-made cakes and cupcakes to make them fabulous.

MORE About Deborah Jeffrey

Everybody has a story. Here’s mine…

I started out as a watercolor portrait artist, painting portraits of life — of people, pets and favorite things.

That is, until 2010 when I injured my hand while cleaning the floor in my kitchen.  I was on my hands and knees scrubbing the floor, went to stand up and my hand slipped on the wet floor and jammed into something — to this day I don’t know what I hit.  Surgery was required and I ended up with more pain, swelling and sensitivity than before the surgery, so for the next 5-1/2 years I was unable to hold a pencil, pen, paintbrush, fork, my husband’s hand, you get the picture.

Being the creative being that I am, I needed an artistic outlet. I had taken cake decorating classes before the accident and thought I might be able to decorate cakes. I was wrong.  I couldn’t hold or squeeze the icing bags, BUT did find that I could work with fondant. I couldn’t roll it out to cover cakes, but I could work with it like clay, to make figures.  In fact, I found that working with fondant was great therapy for my hand.  I made some figures for friends and decided to take the plunge and offer my little fondant figures to others and the Cupcake Stylist was born = )

5-1/2 years after my hand surgery, I had a bit of a miracle and the pain, swelling and sensitivity in my hand is now greatly reduced.  I feel very blessed and am thankful that each and every one of the toppers made over the past 6 years has played a part in my healing. Thank you.  I consider it an honor and a blessing to make toppers for you and your special celebrations.

Now that I have my hand back I am dabbling in the art world again; However instead of painting portraits, I am creating printables and party decorations to complement the toppers offered in the Cupcake Stylist shop on Etsy

Now what about you? How can I serve you? I would consider it an honor to work with you to make your next celebration awesome!
